Mrs. Sharon Ann Nabors' Obituary
Mrs. Sharon Ann Nabors, aged 52, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2017. She was born on December 21, 1964 in Knoxville, TN to the late Gerald Winton Lankford and Patricia Bryant Lankford. She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Glenn Nabors, Jr.; daughters Julie Nabors, Nancy Nabors Lockert (Jake), and Stephanie Nabors; son Glenn Nabors, III (Ashley); mother Patricia Lankford; brothers Jerry Lankford (Jana) and Lyle Lankford; and numerous family and friends.
Sharon was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She earned a bachelor degree in education from TTU, where she also met her husband and the love of her life. However, after becoming a mom, she decided to spend her time at home with her children; a decision which was a blessing to them each and every day of their childhood. She enjoyed gardening, photography, and scrapbooking the innumerable joyous and precious memories she made with family and friends. Sharon was a friend to all who knew her, and her life was a testament to God’s love. She truly knew how to love like Jesus; her selflessness and compassion for others will forever be a legacy in the lives of all who knew her. She was a longtime member of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church where she attended with her family while helping them to grow in their own faith with God.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, 515 Long Hollow Pike, Goodlettsville, TN with Dean Sircy and Ronald Lawrence officiating. Sharon had requested everyone wear colorful clothing to her services. She wanted it to be a true celebration of her life and not to mourn her passing. Active pallbearers will be Glenn Nabors, III, Jake Lockert, Alan Franks, Johnny Sikes, Jerry Lankford, and Lyle Lankford. Interment will be at Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Wednesday 10:00 a.m.-11:00a.m. Both days of visitation will be held at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Make A Wish Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216, 615-865-1101, www.springhillfh.com.
