Shawna M Crymes' Obituary
Celebrating the Vibrant Life of Shawna Martin Crymes
September 5th, 1957 – July 17th, 2025
Outgoing and caring, Shawna brought joy and warmth to everyone she met. Born in Nashville, TN, Shawna's radiant spirit and generous heart made a lasting impact on her community and loved ones.
Shawna had a passion for life that was evident in her many interests. She loved quilting, creating beautiful pieces that captured her creativity and love for detail. Her garden was a testament to her nurturing nature, blooming with the same vibrancy that she brought into the lives of others. A dedicated volunteer, Shawna gave her time selflessly, in walking with Achilles and the riding club was always ready to lend a helping hand. She was also an avid reader, finding joy and adventure within the pages of her favorite mystery and detective books.
Family was at the center of Shawna's world. She shared a wonderful life with her loving husband of 44 years, Donny Crymes, and was the proud mother of her cherished son, Austin Crymes. Shawna's love extended to her dear sister, Jackie Whiteley (John) Jones; nephews, Greg (Molly) Price, Jacob (Katie) Whiteley and Kanon Autrey; niece, Shannon (Andy) Porter and best friend of 30+ years, Terri Stuermer, with whom she shared countless joyful moments.
Though preceded in passing by her parents, Kenneth Martin and Juanita Martin, and her sisters Sherry Harrell and Shelia Moore, Shawna's memories with them were filled with love and laughter, and she carried their spirits with her throughout her life.
As we celebrate Shawna's beautiful journey, we remember her as a beacon of kindness and joy. Her legacy of love, generosity, and enthusiasm for life will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Let us honor Shawna's memory by embracing the warmth and compassion she so freely shared. Her life reminds us to live fully, love deeply, and cherish every moment.
