Sheila Hoover Goostree, 71, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. Born February 24, 1950 in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Warner Hoover and Betty Jean Pulley Hoover.
Sheila loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed decorating for various church events at Riverwood Church of Christ. Annual cookouts, planting flowers, and watching birds at the feeders at their home were things she loved to do with Mark. Photography is a hobby she loved, and rarely missed a beautiful sunset.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Mark Goostree; sons Clay (Melissa) Goostree and Tyler (Elicia) Goostree; sister Marlene (David) Stringfellow; brother Edwin “Dub” (Annette) Hoover, Jr; grandchildren Andrew, Reagan, Marlie, and Madilyn.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 4 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will take place 12 PM noon Saturday, June 5, at the funeral home with family receiving friends and visitors 2 hours prior to the funeral. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
Masks are required inside of the funeral home for anyone who has not been vaccinated.
