Sheila Dell Parnell's Obituary
Sheila Dell Parnell, 59, of Nashville, TN, passed away August 24, 2024, at Tristar Skyline Medical Center. She was born December 5, 1964, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Claude and Patricia Perry.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Patricia Perry, and brother, Phillip Perry.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are daughter, Samantha Parnell, brother, Richard Perry, nieces Jessica and Kaetlyn Perry, and long-time partner in crime, Thomas Collett.
Sheila loved watching crime television shows and soap operas. She was a character with a huge sense of humor, but above all, she loved helping people she loved and cared about. She was thoughtful and faithfully sent birthday and special occasion cards to friends and family. The post office will surely miss her, too.
Her favorite drink was Pepsi, and she would light up at the sight of a cold, refreshing can. Her public image was stuck in the 1980’s and she loved her larger-than-life hairstyle and bright makeup.
Tom and Sheila met while she was working at a video store, and he went in to ask her out on a date. They enjoyed many meals at the location of their first date: Applebee’s.
Her strong personality and loving spirit will be dearly missed. She was a die-hard country music fan and her lifelong dream of being buried alongside Keith Whitley will finally come true Wednesday, September 4th, 2024 at 1pm when she is laid to rest at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Friends and family will gather two hours prior at Spring Hill Funeral Home for a visitation.
We will always love and cherish the fun times. REST in Peace.
