Mrs. Sherry Emmons Brugman's Obituary
Sherry Emmons Brugman, 53, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday July 11, 2021 in Gainesville, Florida. Born January 29, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Dorthy Taylor Emmons and the late Bobby Emmons.
Sherry was a loving wife, “bonus mom”, sister and aunt who will be missed dearly by those who knew her. She had retired from Bank of America following 30 years as a dedicated and loved employee. She was an avid reader and enjoyed riding her bike along the greenway. She loved interior design and could often be found watching the DIY Channel on tv. Sherry was strong in her faith and had attended the First Baptist Church of Hendersonville and Long Hollow Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years, David Brugman; daughters Brittany (Justin) Martin and Abigail Brugman; mother Dorthy Taylor Emmons; sister Laurie Shinbaum; nieces and nephews Stephanie Shinbaum, Adam Threet, Devin Threet, and Lauren Threet; and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, August 6, 2021 from 4:30 PM until 7:30 PM at Hope Church 1215 Gallatin Road, Nashville TN 37206. Visitation will resume at 12 PM noon on Saturday, August 7 at the church with a Celebration of Life Memorial Service following at 2:30 PM.
