Sherry Anne Stansberry's Obituary
Celebrating the Beautiful Life of Sherry Stansberry
June 1st, 1963 – May 12th, 2026
We celebrate the beautiful life of Sherry Stansberry, born in Nashville, TN, whose kind, loving, and caring spirit brightened every day she shared with us. Her journey was filled with simple joys that left lasting smiles on family and friends alike.
Sherry loved being outdoors, feeling most at peace while surrounded by nature. Winter mornings often found her happily scattering cornbread for the birds, a small act that showed her gentle heart and delight in every living creature.
Her home was never complete without cats curled nearby, each one a reminder of her endless capacity for tenderness. Those moments, paired with quiet walks and shared laughter, paint a picture of a woman who valued love above all else.
Sherry is lovingly remembered by her husband of 41 years, Mark Stansberry; son Mark (Joni Lea) Stansberry II. Her love extended to grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Webb Phillips and Sharon Phillips.
As we gather thoughts of Sherry, we choose warmth and gratitude. The next time you pause to enjoy a calm moment in nature, smile and think of Sherry’s gentle presence that continues to inspire caring hearts everywhere.
