Mrs. Shirley Ann Potts Beard's Obituary
Shirley Ann Potts Beard, age 75 of Nashville, passed away June 4, 2013. Shirley was born December 7, 1937 in Nashville to Howard Raymond Potts and the former Mary Ann Brummett. She will be remembered for her loving, caring and compassionate nature that never met a stranger. She loved to read and was an avid HGTV fan. She also enjoyed flowers, especially red geraniums, red impatiens and ferns.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary Potts and sister, Peggy Potter. She is survived by her son, Tim Beard; daughters, Terri Oliphant and Tracie (Bubba) Edens; brother, Wayne (Judy) Potts; sister-in-law, Carolyn Potts; grandchildren, Brandi, Jason and Patrick; great-grandchildren, Laken and Alex; and numerous nieces, nephews and many loving friends.
A celebration of Shirley’s life will be conducted at 2 P.M., Friday, June 7, 2013 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park with Tim Beard, Bubba Edens, Jason Mitchell, Eric Voss, Wayne Potts, Alex Chumbley and Patrick Edens serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Wednesday, June 5 and from 12 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Thursday, June 6 at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
