Shirley Irene Betty's Obituary
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Irene Betty. She was born on December 19, 1935 in Nashville to the late Hawley Kemp and Estelle Swindle Kemp.
Shirley was a native Nashvillian and a graduate of North High School She was an award-winning gardener and a retiree from Metro Nashville Public Schools.
She is preceded in death by her late husband of 56 years, Jesse Douglas Betty. She is survived by her son Douglas (Laura) Betty of Nashville, Tennessee; daughter Kimberly Betty of Columbia, Tennessee; and by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 4th, 2022 at eleven o'clock in the morning at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, “Where Nashville Comes to Remember.”
