Shirley was a special Lady. I worked with her at The Tennessean for many of her 40 years. I retired in 2015 after 40 years. I had Shirley pose for one of my Ads promoting Mother's Day advertisements because she was the perfect Mother. Sad to hear of your loss but now her and her old newspaper pal Linda Sue can have fun together again.
Your door was always open to friends and family. You are like a sister to Joyce and me. I will never forget about our trips, the( Golden Gambling Girls), to Tunica. Our interstate picnic we share while talking about hopes and old times.I will miss calling to talk with Shirley Mae. I will see you on the other side. If there are slots in heaven you be sure and pick us out the good ones. I love you and will miss you. Jackie
