It is with much sadness in our hearts that we've lost such a wonderful woman. Shirley had me at "How-dy" her great Minni-Perl impersonation. She was always kind and loving to both old and new friends. We'll miss her dearly. Deepest sympathy goes out to her family. Liz and Jerry Wotherspoon

My Great Aunt Shirley was one of my favorite relatives. She always welcomed me into her home, and supported me and my sisters and Mother and Father. Every time we got together we just stepped back into the conversation without any delays because she knew how I had grown up, and how precious my family is to me. She was a fabulous cook, a fun aunt who loved Opryland as much as I did. She was also and a great mentor to me in my younger days as a working woman. I sure will miss her, but know that I’ll see her again one day. I know that Shirley is Jimmy’s Soulmate, and my prayers are with the surviving family. I love you all.
