Ms. Shirley Whitney Rippy's Obituary
Shirley Whitney Rippy, age 82, of Cottontown/White House, TN, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Kathleen Whitney; husband of 45 years, Tom Rippy. She is survived by her two daughters, Renee Emery (Randall), Dana Stribling (Mark); two sons, Tommy Rippy (Tina), John Rippy; five grandchildren, Chris Rippy, Chason Rippy (Meagan), Shelby Stribling, Allen Emery, Adam Emery; two great-grandchildren, Jade Emery and Thomas Emery; brother in-law and sister in-law, Doug and Joan Rippy; and her beloved dog, Maggie.
During her life she was a member of Edgefield Baptist, Dalewood Baptist and currently The Church at Grace Park in White House, TN. She was known as Nana by everyone that knew and loved her.
Visitation for Shirley will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN, 37216, on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 from 4 PM until 8 PM and again on Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 10 AM until 12 PM at which time a Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with Brother Bob Cook leading the service. Burial will follow in historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, a Nashville landmark since 1785 “Where Nashville Comes to Remember”
