Mrs. Shirley Williams' Obituary
Mrs. Shirley Ann Williams, age 81 of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020. She was born on July 29, 1938 in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Elvis and Bessie Woodard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James “Buddy” Williams, Sr., her sister Thelma Riddle, her brother William “Bill” Woodard, and her daughter-in-law Dietra. She is survived by her sons Jimmy Williams (Terri) and Ronnie Williams, her grandchildren Andrew (Jessica), Justin (Holli), Kevin, and Ethan Williams, her great-grandchildren Austin, Dorian, and Samuel Williams, her sisters-in-law Ruth Ann and Margie, and her nieces Marlene and Dianne.
Shirley was full of life. She was fiercely independent and hard working, she always spoke her mind, and loved her family more than anything in the world. She was a homemaker for most of her life and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Shirley was very active and always “on the go.” She enjoyed playing bingo, shopping, redecorating, and sewing. With Shirley around, there was never a dull moment and she will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
