Simone Tyan Summers' Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Simone Tyan Summers on December 1st, 2022 in Old Hickory, Tennessee. She was born on August 2nd, 1953 in Nashville, Tennessee to Harvey Clinton Rogers, Sr. and Ruth Ina Rushing Rogers.
Simone was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was a beautiful soul inside and out, and always strived to be the best she could be. Her family was her heart and her reason for being. She especially loved her grandbabies and great-grandbabies. She was surrounded by numerous friends who loved and adored her as well. She will be dearly missed by those who are left to cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents, Simone is preceded in death by her loving husband Gary Lewis Summers, daughter Sonya Tyan Magness, son-in-law Jimmy Magness, and great-granddaughter Kaylee Magness. She is survived by her children Jennifer (Phillip) Clark and Scott Summers; grandchildren Merissa Darden, Phillip Clark, Jr., and Brittany Armistead; great-grandchildren Gabrielle Foley, McKenzie Darden, and Layla Armistead; sister Tiwa (Ken) Bolinger; brother Harvey “Sonny” Rogers, Jr., and a host of extended family and friends.
The family will be hosting a celebration of life at a future date.
