Mr. Stanley Joseph Lodl's Obituary
Mr. Stanley Joseph Lodl, age 86 of Madison, Tennessee passed away January 22, 2022. He was born on August 27, 1935 in Heun, Nebraska to the late Stanley J. and Elizabeth Cerny Lodl. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Jane Frye Lodl and son Jim Lodl. He is survived by his sons Joe Lodl (Lauren) and John Lodl (Jennifer), grandchildren Joshua, Adrien, Matthew Lodl, Pierce and Jude Lodl.
Stanley earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nebraska. He went on to marry the love of his life, Jane. They had their three sons and built a life together. He was a devoted husband and father. He was an Environmental Engineer with the State of Tennessee for over 35 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He always enjoyed his DIY projects around the house and built several pieces of furniture for his family to enjoy. He liked to fish and gardening. He had a love for animals and being outdoors that stemmed from being raised on a farm as a child. He will be greatly missed by his family.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022, 12:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Deacon Ted Welch officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Joseph School student tuition assistance fund.
