Mr. Stanley Hulon Morris Sr's Obituary
Stanley ‘Hulon’ Morris, Sr, age 89, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019 in Hermitage, Tennessee. Hulon was born on November 10, 1929 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Charlie Baxter and Eddie Tatum Morris.
Hulon had been an electrician with the IBEW for 70 years. He served his country proudly in the US Army. Hulon was known as a hard worker and was an avid duck hunter. He was a longtime member of the Dickerson Road Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Murray Morris.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sue Hoffman Morris; children Stanley Hulon (Diane D.) Morris, Jr, Demetria (Gene) Kulas, Mark D. (Kelley) Morris, and Shannon (Kevin) Neville; brother L.C. (Jane) Morris; sister Lois Sharp; grandchildren Caleb (Gabbi) Morris, Kyle (Hailey) Morris, Katie (Michael) Foster, Briana (Alan) Olson, Demi (Chris) Lowe, Collin Neville, Caden Neville, Callie Neville and Jake Morris; great grandchildren Sydney, Lily, Sophie, Ryder, Mila, Tate, Harper, Briggs, Denton, and Graylin; sister-in-law Harriet Hoffman Lovell.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 10 AM until 12 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 12 PM. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Caleb Morris, Kyle Morris, Collin Neville, Caden Neville, Jake Morris, Ron Hood, and Don Reasonover.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Hulon’s name to St Judes Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
