Steve Frank King's Obituary
KING, Steve Frank, age 60, released from cancer early Sunday morning, January 20, 2013, peacefully at home among family and friends. As written by Steve: “ Born October 7, 1952 to Barbara and Charles King in Milwaukee, Wi. Lived in Memphis, Tn; Dallas, Tx; Louisville, Ky; and back to Nashville in 1967. Graduated with the last class of Isaac Litton High School in 1971 where he was Captain of the football team and escorted Homecoming Queen Barbara Crane. Attended MTSU and was a member of the ATO fraternity. Worked at General Industrial Supply with people who were like a second family. Many thanks to them for their compassion. Survived by sister, Sherry King, uncles, aunts, and a host of cousins. Many thanks to my family and friends who I was so blessed with and cherished me through my ordeal with cancer. I have so many.” Steve’s family would like to add our own expression of love and gratitude for the life of this warm, loving, kind soul and having him in our lives. The outpouring of support and loving compassion from his many, many friends and extended family is a testament to Steve’s character and his personal walk with Jesus. We are grateful to all who have uplifted him, and assisted the family in so many ways, especially in his last days. Special thanks to his nurse, Melissa with Willowbrook Hospice for her kind and steady guidance. A Celebration of Steve’s Life will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Spring Hill Funeral Home with Russ Corley officiating. His family will receive friends from 12 p.m.- 2 p.m. Friday January 25 at Spring Hill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Encouragement Ministries, Attn.
