Mr. Steve Manter's Obituary
Steve “Half Breed” Manter, age 62 of Nashville, passed away on November 16, 2015. Steve was born in Nashville, Tennessee on May 8, 1953 to Bonnie McIver. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather.
Steve was an imposing figure, especially when he was all decked out in his biker gear and riding his motorcycle. But, any of his friends and family could tell you that he was a protector and caregiver with a loving heart. When his mother, Bonnie was sick, Steve took care of her. When a friend needed a ride to get her children to the doctor, Steve was there.
Faith was important to Steve. He was a registered minister and knew the Bible well. He took his faith in God as seriously as he did taking care of his friends and family.
Steve’s family will receive friends and visitors on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 4pm until 8pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Additional visitation will take place on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 9am until 10am. A Funeral Service to honor Steve will take place immediately following Friday’s visitation, at 10am. Interment will be in the Restlawn Garden of Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, with family and friends serving as Pallbearers.
Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216. (615) 865-1101 www.springhillfh.com
