Mr. Steven Russell Tankersley's Obituary
Steven Russell Tankersley, age 50, passed away April 3, 2014. He was born in Nashville, TN June 20, 1963 to Martha Anne Moore Reeves and William Newton Tankersley. Steven was a graduate of Nashville State Tech. He was an extremely proud veteran; a former Army Ranger. He was a hobbyist; collecting old knives and swords and making them new again, sharpening the blades and making new hilts for them. He was an inventor; producing ideas and making old ideas better, even creating a new car. He was a construction worker; running his own section of a business built from his own imaginative ideas. Most of all, Steven was a dedicated father. He is survived by his three sons Oliver Scott, Kyle Joseph, and Auther Stewart Tankersley. His father William preceded him in death. Also surviving Steven are his mother Martha Anne, brothers Tommy (Regina) and John (Zoe) Tankersley and sister Laurie Foreman. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 8th, from 10 am to 1 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm with burial to follow all at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery.
