Mr. Stuart Griffith's Obituary
Stuart Wolfe Griffith, age 89, of Hermitage, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, William F. Griffith and Lucy Elizabeth Wolfe; two sisters, Vaughn Miller, June Myers; one brother, Howard Griffith. He is survived by his wife of 32 years; two daughters, Cathy Moore (Ralph), Bridget Dahle (Dennis); three sons, Stuart Mike Griffith, Marc Griffith, Eric Griffith; two sisters, Vera Casto, Barbara Lanterman; one brother, Frederick Griffith.
Stuart entered military service as a teenager from Charleston, WV and served as a Paratrooper in the 11th Airborne, 101st Airborne and the 173rd Airborne until 1968 he retired with 660 parachute jumps. He worked with Trane Company from 1968 until 1990 at which time he retired. Stuart was a member with The American Rabbit Breeder Association and life member with the American Federation of New Zealand Rabbit Breeders and Hall of Fame Member. He became a licensed rabbit judge in 1968.
Visitation for Stuart will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2018 from 4PM until 7PM and again on Monday, January 7, 2018 from 10 AM until 11 AM at which time a Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN, 37216. Burial will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery with military honors. Arrangements by Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, A Nashville Landmark since 1785 ‘Where Nashville Comes to Remember”
