Stuart Harvey Magee Jr.'s Obituary
Stuart Harvey Magee Jr., a beloved father, grandfather and friend passed away on July 9th, 2024, at the age of 78. Harvey’s life was filled with a passion for storytelling, music and the world of broadcasting.
Harvey is preceded in death by Father Stuart H. Magee, Mother Nancy L. Magee and granddaughter Lacy Magee. He is survived by his two daughters, Leah and Laura Magee, former wife, Gay Magee, granddaughters Blaire Simpson and Hunter Magee, and a host of other family and friends.
Harvey’s career spanned several decades in the Nashville media landscape. Working with WLAC TV, WZTV, WSMV TV and WKDF and became known as one of the voices of the Nashville Sounds.
His contributions to the entertainment industry extended beyond broadcasting; he co-founded Hank Magazine along with Dean Hitt. He was one of the early partners in the Exit/In.
There will be a celebration of life for Harvey on Saturday, August 10th at Spring Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please give to the 202 Friendship House, 202 23rd Ave. N. Nashville, 37203. 202friendshiphouse.org
