Mr. Tavner Roberts Vantrease's Obituary
Tavner Roberts Vantrease, age 81, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017. Tavner is preceded in death by his spouse Patricia Vantrease; his parents, Tavner L. and Lois Vantrease; one son, Timothy Ross Vantrease and one daughter, Vanessa Derrickson. He is survived by one son, Bob Vantrease (Gayle); two daughters, Vicky Lynn Hebly and Vanida Lois Vantrease; one brother, John David Vantrease (Sylvia) and one sister, Ginny Baker.
Tavner served his country in the Korean War and later trained troops to go to war in Vietnam while in the Army. He was a devoted husband and enjoyed spending time with his two cats and working outdoors with his hands. He had a great personality and never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
