Teresa Loraine Watson's Obituary
Teresa Loraine Watson, 59, of Portland, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023. Born May 13, 1964, in Nashville, she was the daughter of Linda Jean Stroud Moore and the late Roy Burtis Watson, Sr.
Teresa was a teacher’s assistant at Watt Hardison Elementary School, working with children who had special needs. She was strong in her faith, unafraid to testify and was a member of New Life Apostolic Church on Clarksville Pike in Nashville. Teresa was one of a kind, bigger than life and possessed a caregiving nature. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She also had a quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. Teresa loved her family dearly and had a hard time sharing her nieces and nephews with others.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandmother Thelma Aline Stroud; brothers Roy Burtis Watson, Jr., David Anthony Watson and Marcus Shane Moore.
She is survived by her son Logan Jarod Watson; mother Linda Moore; siblings Kimberly Ann Adkins, Michael Wayne Moore, Sr., Connie Lynn (Ronald Alexander) Garcia, Robert Clayton (Vicki) Moore, William Shawn Moore, and Trina Watson; and a plethora of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19, from 1 pm until 8 pm at New Life Apostolic Church 4712 Clarksville Pike, Nashville, Tennessee 37218. A Celebration of Teresa’s Life will take place at the church on Thursday, July 20 at 1 pm with the family visiting an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
