Mrs. Thelma "Judy" Hinkle's Obituary
Thelma “Judy” Hinkle, age 85, passed away on September 25, 2019 in Midlothian, VA. She was born June 4, 1934.
Thelma was born in Carthage, TN but has lived all over the world with her family. She married AC Hinkle on November 1, 1952 and they were married for 56 years. In her younger years Thelma worked on the paperwork to repair the downed Blackhawk helicopters in the Vietnam war. She loved going to the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church in Goodlettsville and was an a very active member in the church community. Thelma enjoyed decorating her home and keeping it well kept.
Thelma is survived by her children Karen Matthews, Scott Hinkle and Kevin Hinkle, she is also survived by three grandchildren Todd Matthews, Chad Matthews, Jordan Hinkle, and one great-grandchild Piper Matthews.
She was preceded in death by her husband AC Hinkle and her son Alan Hinkle.
Thelma’s Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2019 with her funeral service to follow at 1:00 P.M. at the Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216. Burial will take place in the historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that all donations be made to the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church at 515 Long Hollow Pike, Goodlettsville, TN 37072 or to a Hospice Care facility of your choice.
