Thelma Jean Loxley's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Thelma Jean Loxley. She was born on August 23rd, 1932, in Nashville to the late Jack Wright and Margaret Dyer Wright.
Jean was a lifelong Southern Baptist with a steadfast faith and a servant’s heart. She was resilient and brave, having overcame several illnesses over the course of time. She even walked in support of the American Cancer Society after beating cancer! Her family was the light of her life, and her love was expressed in the many delicious meals and baked goods she created for them.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Maggie, and her beloved husband Earl Edward Loxley, Sr. She is survived by her children Cynthia Ellen Gleaves (Don), Earl Edward Loxley, Jr., and Nathan Scott Loxley (Teresa); brother Wayne Wright; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 8th, 2022 at Spring Hill Funeral Home from four o’clock to eight o’clock in the evening. A brief visitation period will be held on Saturday, April 9th, 2022 from ten o’clock to twelve o’clock with a funeral service to follow at twelve o’clock at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Burial will follow at one o’clock at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
