Theo Howard Ezell's Obituary
Dr. Theo Howard Ezell (June 22, 1944) passed away in his home on November 24, 2025.
Dr. Ezell grew up in Lebanon, TN where he attended Castle Heights Military Academy.
Upon graduation he attended Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN, followed by The Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He then served at the rank of Captain with the US Army USAR Medical Corps, Fort Campbell, KY during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal.
Dr. Ezell built a private optometrical practice in Madison, TN from which he later retired. He is survived by his sister Sherry Ezell Schlossnagle, her sons George William Schlossnagle III and Theo Ezell Schlossnagle and his step-son Bobby Gaines and step-daughter Brenda Gaines Rager. Dr. Ezell was interred in the Nashville National Cemetery in Madison, TN January 15, 2025 with military honors.
