Thomas "Tommy" Michael Brown passed away on January 15, 2025, in Altamonte Springs, Florida, at the age of 97. He was born on December 6, 1927, in Brooklyn, New York.
He is preceded in death by his parents Emmauel and Pauline Lombardi, Ann Brown and Mollie Brown mothers of his children.
Tommy started his Major League Baseball career with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1944 and also played with the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs until 1953. After playing with Chicago, Tommy played in the Southern Leagues and made Tennessee his home. He retired from baseball in 1958 and started a new career working at Ford Motor Glass Plant in Nashville, in which he retired after 35 years. He was a loving father to 4 children, Paula Caplice, Michele Steiner (Helmet), Pamela Leon (Mario) and William Brown. In addition, he has 7 Grand Children and 10 Great Grandchildren. Tommy is survived by his wife Ellen of 18 years, his sister, Angela Trezza and many nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed golf, family beach trips, casinos, restaurants and a good cigar. He was a kind, humble and optimistic person who everyone loved to be around. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
