Mr. Thomas E. Duke's Obituary
Thomas E. Duke, a beloved husband and father,of Cottontown, TN passed away on December 18, 2020 in Davidson County. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ed (Betty) Duke, Jean Haynes and step brother Manuel Lambert. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Delle Anne Duke; daughters, Erin (Michael) Ford, Anne Elise (Chris) Rocha; stepfather, Wilson Haynes; sisters, Sheila (Terry) Tisdale, Paula Holder, Patti (Bobby) Koblinsky, step sister Kathy Ellis; brother, D’Wayne (Cyndi) Duke; grandchildren, Ryder Ford, Kalub Ford, Arabella Ford, Hunter Rocha; and a host of nieces and nephews and great- nieces and nephews of which he loved dearly.
Tommy was a larger-than-life kind of guy, he always had a smile on his face and a joke up his sleeve. He enjoyed Sunday dinners and family trips to the beach. Tommy had a passion for golf, fishing, Harley Davidson’s, softball, guitars and above all, music. Many people had described Tommys as, “The best air guitarist" and also "the best softball coach.” Tommy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a great storyteller and was known for his enthusiasm. Tommy was a supporter of dreams and would always go out of his way to help the ones he loved achieve those dreams. He loved his CSX railroad family and worked with them for over 30 years. Tommy was an amazing man who touched the lives of everyone who knew him, he will truly be missed.
A celebration of life graveside service will take place at 11am, December 24, 2020 in historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery. 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216. 615-865-1101. Service for family only and masks are required. We will meet in the lobby at 11:00 to drive to the grave site. Please dress warm.
