Mr. Thomas Joseph Halpin Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Thomas Joseph Halpin Sr., age 83 of Madison, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. He was born on February 22, 1938 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late James and Irene Halpin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Margaret Anderson and Louise Greene, and brothers William “Bill” Halpin and Turner Halpin. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Cecilia Baltz Halpin; children Thomas Halpin Jr. and Margaret “Beth” Halpin; and grandson Thomas Halpin III.
Thomas was a hardworking and dependable man who was always the first one there when anyone needed help. He was a loving and devoted husband and father, and always placed his family and their needs first. He served his country proudly in the United States Army, was a member of Knights of Columbus, and an usher at Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Thomas loved fishing, and enjoyed repairing lawnmowers and other small engines.
A visitation was held at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 4-8 pm, with The Rosary Service beginning at 7 pm. Another visitation was held at the funeral home on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 3-5 pm prior to the Funeral Mass at Saint Joseph Catholic Church which began at 6:30 pm. Graveside inurnment accompanied by military honors will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 9, 2021 in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend is asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:30 pm on Saturday.
