Thomas "Tommy" Lee Barnes' Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Lee Barnes on August 24th, 2022. He was born to Terry Barnes and Brenda Kay Hayes Barnes on August 23rd, 1974 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Tommy is preceded in death by his father Terry; maternal grandparents Lee and Louise Nell; and paternal grandparents Thomas and Mary Barnes. He is survived by his mother Brenda Kay Wilkerson; sister Michelle Patterson (Steven); nephews Michael and Lucas Patterson; uncle Tom Barnes; stepbrothers Nathan and Jarrod Wilkerson; and step-niece Kailee Wilkerson.
Tommy embodied strength and perseverance in the last few years, and fought his hardest until the very end. He was a long-time fan of the Tennessee Titans and Nascar, especially Bill and Chase Elliot. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, and loved to hunt, fish, and assist his mama with yardwork. He was a true family man, and his sweet presence will be missed amongst the loved ones he leaves behind.
The family will be receiving guests at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Sunday, August 28th, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. A graveside service will follow the visitation period at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, “Where Nashville Comes to Remember.”
