Thomas Michael Ward's Obituary
Thomas “Tommy” Michael Ward, 78, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023, on his birthday. Tommy was born on August 13, 1945, to Jessie Virginia Williams Ward and Jack L. Ward, Sr., in Nashville, Tennessee.
Tommy graduated Isaac Litton High School. He attended Middle Tennessee State before taking over Jack L. Ward and Sons Plumbing which he owned and led for 47 years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Ward; his parents, Jessie and Jack; his sister, Martha Ward O’Dell and brothers, Jack L. Ward, Jr., William Bryan Ward, and Henry Ray Ward. He is survived by his daughter, Robin Ward Gardner (Randy), and grandson, Aiden Gardner; Chris (Mary Ann) Coulter and granddaughter, Audrey Coulter. His surviving siblings are Patricia Ann Ward Burnette and James Richard “Ricky” Ward.
Tommy led a rich life, full of friends and family. He was a generous host during holidays at his home on Meridian Street and his farm in Hickman County. He was a loyal Titans fan, an avid hunter and fisherman, and traveled all seven continents. He was known for his ready smile and great sense of humor.
The family cordially invites guests and relatives for a time of visitation on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023, from eleven thirty in the morning until one thirty in the afternoon, with a chapel funeral service at one thirty in the afternoon at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216. Following the chapel service at Spring Hill, attendees will be led in procession to Mount Olivet Cemetery in Nashville, where Mr. Ward will be laid to rest at three o'clock in the afternoon.
