Mr. Timothy Newton "Tim" Stanfill's Obituary
Timothy Newton “Tim” Stanfill, age 57 of Nashville, TN passed away January 24, 2014. Mr. Stanfill was born in Albequerque, NM on August 27, 1956 to the late Francis Eugene Stanfill and the former Hazel Rose Roeper.
Mr. Stanfill served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. He began his career with HCA as an internal auditor, eventually becoming C.F.O. of Summit Medical Center. He will be remembered by many as the quintessential “good guy” and a friend to many. He enjoyed the ocean, grilling, gardening, bowling and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Kerry Taylor Stanfill; son, Taylor Timothy Stanfill; mother, Hazel Lawter; brothers, Michael, John (Gayle) and Patrick Stanfill.
A funeral mass and celebration of Mr. Stanfill’s life will be conducted at 10 A.M., Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 535 Sneed Road West, Franklin, TN 37069. Father Mark Beckman will officiate. Entombment with military honors will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers. Jeff Whitehorn, Greg Caples and William Degnan will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M. on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
