Tommy Ray Brewer's Obituary
We celebrate the beautiful life of Tommy Ray Brewer, a man known for being “a master of all trades and a devoted dedicated father and grandfather.” His days were filled with purpose, steady hands, and a heart that always pointed toward family.
Tommy’s joy shone brightest when he was outside and cranking up George Jones on the radio. These simple pleasures framed many happy moments and showed how easily he found delight in everyday life. He loved watching Gunsmoke on TvLand with friends and family which he treasured them joining him in these activities.
Hardworking, intelligent, humble, resilient, and determined, Tommy could fix anything placed before him. The words “don’t double cross him” summed up his firm sense of fairness and resolve. His skills and steady nature built trust wherever he went.
Those close to him smile when they recall how he answered the phone with a quick “Yeah?” that let everyone know he was ready to help. Even at two-in-the-morning, when a relative’s pickup died on a back road, that familiar greeting was soon followed by the rumble of his truck arriving to lend a hand. He loved working with Bruce as known as “PEERY”, and that partnership became a bright spot in his routine, proof that teamwork and friendship can blend seamlessly. In the simple words of Melissa, his daughter, “he was the best man ever.”
Today we hold tight to the upbeat memories of Tommys chuckle and our favorite songs shared with Tommy. His resourceful spirit and caring role as a father remain a guiding light, reminding us to greet each task with confidence and each person with honest warmth. We are grateful for every moment spent with him and carry his steady example forward.
He is preceded in death his father, Leo Brewer and mother, Minnie Brewer, wife, Hazel Brewer and his sons; Tommy Brewer Jr., Thomas Leo Dwayne Brewer, and James Clayton Brewer, and granddaughter, Tiffany Burgess. He leaves behind a vast family who loved him. He is survived by Melissa Brewer, Stephani Brewer, and Michael Brewer. His grandchildren Billy Brewer, Miranda Burgess, Jessica Brewer, Destiny Brewer, Hailey Brewer, Raelynn Bush, Johnathan Bush Jr. His great grandchildren Chole Burgess, Sophia Burgess and Billy Cox Jr., and family friends Khrissy Baker and Talia Baker. His best friend and family friend Bruce Peery and his wife Amanda Peery for everything they have done for the Brewer family.
