Born in Decatur, IL, Van was known for his kind heart, patient demeanor, and hardworking spirit. His intelligence shone through in every endeavor, whether he was meticulously repairing something around the house or sharing thoughtful insights with loved ones.
An avid outdoorsman, Van found peace in fishing and hunting, often accompanied by family and friends.
