Mrs. Vaughnell "Von" Mooneyhan's Obituary
Vaughnell “Von” Kelly Mooneyhan age 93 of Madison, TN, passed away November 1, 2014. She was born in Bemis, TN on May 26, 1921 to the late Lonnie and Bessie Kelly. She was preceded in death by her husband John Hartel; daughter and son-in-law “Dee” Larus Von Upton and Bobby Thomas Upton; brother James Kelly and sister Frances Louise Olhausen. She is survived by her grandchildren Bruce Upton (Britan), Sam Upton, Shelly Dunnagan (Rick), Deena Upton (Randal), and Ben Upton (Elizabeth); great-grandchildren Chance Eblen, Merritt Leigh Upton, Brasher Eblen, Maryjordan Eblen, Isabella Upton, and Carson Samuel Upton; and special niece Jamita Allen. Von was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was an avid dancer and talented artist. During WWII, she worked at the mill while going to beauty school. She and her sister later opened the beauty shop, The Pink Lady. She will be remembered the most for her fun loving, very spirited nature and loving her family dearly.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, November 3, 2014, 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home.
