Mrs. Velma Ruth Dukes' Obituary
Velma Ruth Dukes, age 88 of Nashville passed away July 22, 2013. Mrs. Dukes was born on January 27, 1925 in Elkton, KY to the late Leonard Williams and Annie Mae Van Hooser Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arvin Dukes and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Danny (Janice) Dukes, Buddy (Suzanne) Dukes and Glenn (Barbara) Dukes; grandchildren, Melanie Dukes, Melissa (Jody ) Chambers, Jeff Dukes, Lisa (Brian) Hall, Glenn (Annis) Dukes, Jr., Travis (Sally) Dukes, Emily Dukes and Abbey (Robert) Voss; great-grandchildren, Collin Chambers, Landis Hall, Adeline Hall, Ian Dukes, A. K. Dukes, Travis Dukes, Jr., Gabriel Dukes, Sebastian Voss, Annabelle Voss; and sister, Alene Knight . Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, July 25th at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Dukes officiating. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, July 24th from 5-7 P.M. and on Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until time of service.
