Ms. Velma Louise Neely's Obituary
Ms. Velma Louise Reeves Neely, age 97 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. She was born on April 24, 1925 in Macon, Tennessee to the late Leslie and Edna Reeves. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Mitchell Neely and her son Earl T. Holder, Jr. She is survived by her special friends who she loved dearly like family Linda Haines, Linda Truth, Anthony Truth, Tony Truth, and Aniya Truth.
Louise, or “Lou” to some, was a sweet, kind, and loving person. She was an incredibly strong and independent lady, but was very gracious and grateful when she received help. With Louise, you never had to wonder what was on her mind or what she thought about you, because she would just let you know. She also loved music, and enjoyed singing.
A visitation for Louise will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 5-7pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 2pm in the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
