Vera Leolla Shanks' Obituary
Vera Leolla Shanks, 89, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. Born April 30, 1933, in Cottontown, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Frank Lee Parker and Vera Payne Parker.
Leolla loved life and her family. She had a smile that lit up the room. Her family will remember her for her love of coloring, collecting beads, bracelets and rings, and her excellent ability when it came to playing Jacks. She was dearly loved and will be missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Win Clouse Shanks; brothers Floyd Parker, Bobby Parker, William Parker and an infant brother.
She is survived by her children Herbert Shanks, Joyce (Tom) Pomeroy, and Nancy Ann Flint; grandchildren Kevin (Ashley) Pomeroy, Wendy Elmer, Heather Wolfe, Tonya Williams, Crystal Takamoto, and Eric Flint; great grandchildren Jackson Pomeroy, Kade Pomeroy, Caroline Pomeroy, Landon Wolfe, Austin Wolfe, Lanie Jo Wolfe, Grant Elmer, Alyson Smith, Nathan Elmer, Anna Kate Elmer, Will Elmer, Emme Williams, Easton Williams, and Louella Takamoto; great great grandson Brooks Smith.
