Mr. Vernon F. Jones' Obituary
Mr. Vernon F. Jones, 80, of Dickson, passed away May 12, 2016. He was born on July 26, 1935 in Nashville to the late Edward and Mary Jones. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Ms. Eva Jones.
Mr. Vernon is survived by his Children Glenda Gomez, Patricia Cornish, Steve Jones (Pat), Randy Jones (Patty), and Tim Jones (Lynne); grandchildren Christy Betty, Mike Gomez, Keith Cornish, Adam Cornish, Bradley Jones, Crystal Wrather, Lisa Bond, Kayla Vanderpool, Brandon Jones, Jason Jones, Aaron Jones, Timmy Jones, Matthew Jones, Tammy Thatcher, Christie Gilliam, Amy Briggs and 14 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Vernon was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and loved to keep his family laughing with telling jokes. He also enjoyed spending his time singing and playing his guitar.
A celebration of life service will be held Monday, May 16 at 1pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 11am-8pm then again on Sunday from 8am-8pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home 5110 Gallatin Pike; Nashville TN 37216
