Mrs. Vicki Lee McClendon's Obituary
“Vicki Lee” McClendon went to be with the Lord on July 4, 2016 at the age of 56. She was an incredible friend, loving wife, mother, sister, and Nana to her family.
Vicki was born on September 6, 1959 in Nashville, TN, to parents Charles and Amie who preceded her in death. She grew up in a close-knit, loving family with her sister Linda, and her loving stepfather Marvin Sullivan.
Vicki married her dear friend Tommy “Big Daddy” McClendon, on March 31, 2014. The couple lived together in Brentwood, and loved spending time with their grand babies and enjoyed cooking and traveling together. She loved her family deeply and devoted herself to them entirely.
Vicki was a fierce leader with a work-ethic like no other. She has been employed with Ferguson Enterprises for the past 16 years, managing the Nashville Showroom. She was dedicated to her team and easily became a second mom to everyone in the office. Her zest for life was evident to all who knew her, and was considered a friend by all. Her greatest quality was her caring demeanor. She never slowed down and was known for her way with words. She always held her head high and attacked all obstacles with a positive outlook. Her smile was contagious and her laugh was pure joy to all those around her. Vicki made such an impact on everyone with her loyalty and kindness. She took care of everyone and was always the life of the party. She shared her passion and spirit for life with all of her family and friends. While her time here on earth has ended way too soon, the impression she left on so many friends and family is her legacy. She will be deeply missed, and forever remembered.
Vicki is survived by her husband, Tommy McClendon, her sister Linda Boone-Williams (Ed), step-parents, Marvin and Babs Sullivan, and daughters Jaci Kirkham (Wade), and Brittany Earlie (Kyle) and grandchildren: Anna, Bella, Grayson, Ava, and Cannon. Additionally, nephew Tyler Elkins and great niece and nephew Adelyn and Tucker. She is preceded in death by her parents; Charles Boone and Amie Boone- Sullivan, and her beloved “Auntie.”
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at The Bridge-Building, 2 Victory Ave. Nashville TN, 37213 at 3:00pm on Monday, July 11, 2016 with a downtown skyline view of the city she loved so much. The family would especially like to thank all the friends and family for their outpouring of love and prayers for Vicki; and the staff of Centennial Hospital, Cardiac Unit, for their constant, attentive care.
