To all that visit this site, my name is Marty Weisman and I knew Vicki in High School . . . just saw a posting this week that she was now living in Nashville. I looked her up on the Net, and came across this Memorial page. I am more than heartbroken right now, wish I had reached out earlier. It has been five years since her passing, so sad that I visited Nashville in the early 2000's and never knew she lived here. Anyone who has posted notes on this site or knew Vicki please contact me. Vicki was my close friend since college and I adored her. I probably should have married her, but things kept getting in the way. Yet we kept in touch and I was able to talk to her on the phone almost right to the end. Her death has deeply affected me, and I will think of her everyday. I was extraordinarily fortunate to have known and loved her. She was indeed a free spirit who could make your world sunshiny when the clouds were grey. Love you, Vicki, sugar. RIP.

When I first met Vicki she had a long braid down her back and she was wearing Birkenstocks, and I thought she was a real "Hippie." She had some great stories to tell.

I especially liked the one where she had to interview the Hells Angels. On her way to the interview, she had some car battery trouble and had to take the battery out of the car and put it back. When she got to the interview, the guys weren't all that receptive and the interview did not go as she wanted it to.. As she got up to conclude the interview, her blue jeans fell apart from the battery acid, She said the guys were so upset and gave her something to wrap around herself and they turned out to be really nice and she got the great interview that she came for.

That's the Vicki I want to remember and I just hope that she is still a free spirit and happy in the ever after.
