Mrs. Violet Ruth Mullins' Obituary
Violet Ruth (Fryer) Mullins, age 87, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016. She was born to Wallace and Mary Fryer on May 6, 1929 in Nashville.
Violet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Violet had a loving heart, especially toward babies. Violet was a foster mom to many new born babies throughout the years. Her love of children carried over to the nursery at Riverside Baptist Church where she volunteered for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter Mullins, and her siblings.
Violet is survived by her daughter Linda Allen, son Ray Mullins, daughter Joyce (Howard) Moll, and her youngest son Glenn (Vanessea) Mullins. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren, Scott Frazer, Jason (Elena) Thompson, April (David) Adkinson, great-grandchildren Lauren Frazer, Monna Thompson, Bailee, Bryson, Bella, and Brooklynn Adkinson. She is also survived by her last surviving brother James Fryer and numerous nieces and nephew.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 7, 2016 from 4pm-8pm and on Thursday September 8, 2016 from 12pm-2pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Services will begin at 2pm in the Chapel at Spring Hill Funeral Home with burial to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Avalon Hospice.
