Virgie Shadrick, 91, of Joelton, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021, in Adams, Tennessee, surrounded by her family. Born October 5, 1929 in Morgan County, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Hallmark and Alice Oden Hallmark.
Virgie loved her garden and taking care of her flowers. She had worked as a machine operator and security guard for Werthan’s Textiles for 30 years and later worked for Sam’s Club for 15 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who will be missed dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Loyd Lee Shadrick in 2011.
She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth (Harold) Williams and Gayle (Billy Joe) Dreisewerd; son Jimmy Shadrick and his girlfriend and Virgie’s caregiver Marie Taylor; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and her furbaby Lady.
A visitation will take place from 10 AM until 12 PM on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 12 PM with entombment following in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
