Ms. Virginia Denton's Obituary
Ms. Virginia Ruth Pentecost Denton, age 92 of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020. She was born on August 1, 1927 in Charlotte, Tennessee to the late William and Della Mae Pentecost. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Denton, her son Ralph Michael Allen, her sisters Willie Mae McClung and Annabelle Daniel, and her granddaughter Jennifer Brannan. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Brannan (Jonathan), her grandchildren Timothy Brannan, Sr. (Kim) and Angela Martin (William), her great grandchildren Kelsea Burden (Matt), Timothy Brannan, Jr. (Alexis), Matthew Martin, Taylor Martin, Emily Martin, Faith Smithson, Davy Pasternak, and one great-great-granddaughter Bailey Ann Brannan.
Ms. Virginia was a very caring and active lady. She always kept very busy. She and Floyd loved music and singing. They spent most of their winters in Florida, and would perform at events for handicapped children. She loved traveling and camping. She also very much enjoyed crafting of all sorts and loved making things for others. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, and her memory will live on in the hearts of the beautiful family and friends she leaves behind.
A Visitation will be held for Ms. Denton at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Monday, August 3 from 12pm-2pm with a Celebration of Life Funeral Service beginning at 2pm. Burial will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery has been entrusted with the final care of Ms. Denton. 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216.
