Wanda J. Cole's Obituary
Wanda Cole of Hendersonville was born in Clay County and grew up on a one-hundred acre farm in Moss, Tennessee. Jesus was there when she was baptized at Oak Grove Church of Christ and He came to bring her Home to Heaven Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Wanda was the daughter of the late Hasker Adam Waddell and Allene Green Waddell.
Wanda was the best daughter, wife, mother, sister, and aunt who loved her family dearly and will be missed more than words can say. Wanda was well known for her love and she was the light of her family's lives. She loved everyone and forgave easily. She lit up every room with her beautiful smile and loving spirit. She made every day fun. She was a longtime Realtor with Coldwell Banker Lakeside Realtors where she was loved by all of her clients who quickly became dear friends. She was a member of the Sumner Association of Realtors. Among her many career accolades and achievements, two standout honors were being awarded the President's Award and being named Best Realtor in Sumner County. She was a member of Bluegrass Country Club and Newcomers & Community Club of Sumner County.
Wanda was a devoted Christian and lifelong faithful believer who was brought up in the Moss Church of Christ and locally she attended Long Hollow Church, Hendersonville Church of Christ and Madison Church of Christ. Wanda's family will remember her for her all-encompassing love and her fun, adventurous spirit. She was truly funny, always laughing and enjoying life. She loved going on cruises, traveling, music, dancing and gardening. Wanda was also a true Patriot. She cherished freedom and loved America.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved sister Juanita Hughett.
She is survived by beloved family: daughters Heather Cole Leavitt and her husband Dr. Paul Leavitt and Holly Cole; sisters Shirley Waddell, Opal (Enis) Guntel, and Lecta (Richard) Partin; nieces and nephews Jonnda (Scott) Burner, David Hughett, Joshua (Trish) Guntel, Nathan (Katie) Burner, and Jillia (Brandon) Folks.
Wanda loved like Jesus loved and lived like Jesus lived. Anyone who ever met her knows without a doubt Jesus welcomed her home saying "Well done my good and faithful servant". And the Angels rejoiced at her homecoming party.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service with Chaplain Jim Horn officiating will be held at Long Hollow Church, 3031 Long Hollow Pike in Hendersonville on Saturday March 12, 2022 at 12pm noon. The family will receive friends and visitors two hours prior to the service.
