Wanda A. Templeton's Obituary
Wanda A. Templeton of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at the age of 97. She was born on January 27, 1926 in Tampa, Florida to the late Alfred and Gladys O. Alessio. She is preceded in death by her husband Everett of whom she was married for 68 years, until his passing in 2012.
Wanda is survived by her three children. Tim Templeton, Penny (Bo) Richardson and Barry (Julie) Templeton, and four grandchildren; Emily & Neal Richardson and Grant & Elizabeth Templeton.
Wanda graduated from Cumberland High School here in Nashville in 1944. While in school, she played basketball, was a cheerleader as well as the 1943 homecoming queen.
As an adult, Wanda was a full-time homemaker and a devout Catholic. She enjoyed playing golf and sewing, in fact, she was an excellent seamstress. In later years, she was a volunteer at Saint Cecilia Academy, and for 35 years, a volunteer Pink Lady at
Saint Thomas West Hospital.

The family invites guests and relatives for a time of visitation on Thursday, June 1st, 2023, from five o'clock in the evening until seven o'clock in the evening, and on Friday, June 2nd, 2023 from ten o'clock until eleven o'clock in the morning, with a funeral mass from eleven o'clock in the morning until twelve o'clock in the afternoon at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 535 Sneed Road West, Franklin, TN 37069. An inurnment ceremony will follow mass at one o'clock in the afternoon at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216.
