Mrs. Waurine Winters' Obituary
Waurine Winters, age 96, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019 in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Waurine was born on June 20, 1923 to the late Lillian Mae (Denny) Jared and Brice Jared.
Waurine enjoyed life to its fullest potential and was known for always being a very glamorous and colorful woman. She enjoyed collecting dolls and gourds over the years. Waurine loved spending her free time sewing and stitching new clothes for her dolls. She loved to be outdoors whether it was taking care of her home and her yard or feeding the birds; she just enjoyed being in nature. Fitting to her colorful personality Waurine loved Butterflies and how beautiful and unique each one was.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Herman Leslie Winters; son-in-law Joseph Linnertz; daughter-in-law, Alice Raye Winters
Waurine is survived by her sons, Donald Herman Winters and Steven Wayne Winters (and wife, Carolyn); daughter, Gloria Jean Linnertz; grandchildren, Todd Winters (and wife Kim), Tracey Winters Jenkins (and husband, Randy), Gregory Winters (and wife, Macie), Leslie Winters Allen (and husband, Christopher), Jared Winters; great-grandchildren, Heather Sellards (and husband, Dustin), Tiffany Winters, Peyton Winters, Jaidyn Winters-Wofford, Jordan Winters-Wofford, Ysabela Winters-Perez; great-great grandchildren Shaelyn Sellards, Brock Sellards and Dalton Munday.
Visitation will be Wednesday July 17, 2019 from 8:30-10 a.m. with the funeral service following at 10:00 a.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, Humane Society, the Madison Police Department or the Madison Fire Department.
