Mr. Wayne Gordon Bunnelle's Obituary
Wayne Gordon Bunnelle (84), formerly of Nashville, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020. He was born on October 11, 1936 in Dyersburg, TN. He was the son of Luke and Mildred (Wilbanks) Bunnell, both of whom preceded him in death. Wayne also has a brother, Terry Bunnell (Cathy) currently living in Gleason, TN.
Wayne served his country proudly in the United States Army National Guard. He retired from The United States Postal Service. In his free time, he loved playing golf, softball, fishing and playing the guitar. Wayne was steadfast in his faith and loved the Lord. He was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene where he served on the church board, sang in the choir and taught Sunday school classes. He was so proud of his family and enjoyed spending quality time with them more than anything. Wayne was a loving husband, father and Christ follower. He will be greatly missed.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 63 years Barbara Bunnelle; daughter Donna Wonders and sons Danny Bunnelle (April) and Terry Bunnelle (Kayla); grandchildren Aaron, Brandon (Marissa), Abby (Mark), Sherea, Jordan (Calli-Anne), Alyson, Madison (Ty), Michael and Jansen; great-grandchildren Parker, Sophie, Judah, Mila and Eliza.
Wayne’s visitation is scheduled for Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 4-8 PM at Grace Church of the Nazarene at 2620 Pennington Bend Road Nashville, TN 37214. The celebration of life ceremony will be held on Friday at 10 AM at the church. Burial will follow at the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery at 5110 Gallatin Pike South, Nashville, TN 37216
