Wayne Johnson's Obituary
JOHNSON, Wayne, age 72 of Goodlettsville, passed away August 24, 2010. Preceded in death by his parents Leon and Margaret Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Jo Ann Johnson, daughter Jennifer Johnson Pursley (Mike), granddaughter Dalton Pursley, sister Sue Hargrove, and brother Mike Woods (Leeann). Mr. Johnson made his living making people feel beautiful. In addition to owning a salon, he spent 30 years as a distributor for Hawaiian Tropic. He was a member of Long Hollow Baptist Church and spent his final years ministering to inmates at the Davidson County jail from his wheelchair. His granddaughter, Dalton was the highlight of his life. A celebration of his life will be conducted Saturday, August 28, 2010, 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Allen Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Todd Oelschlager, Mike Woods, Raymond Becker, and Dan Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be the Bob Dean Greg Smith Sunday School Class. Visitation will be Friday 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
