Wendy M. Chalfin's Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wendy Greenwood Chalfin, who peacefully surrendered to the complications of Alzheimer’s on Monday, February 23, 2026, after a courageous four‑year battle.
Wendy is lovingly survived by her husband, Bill Chalfin; her son, Daniel Cassell; her sisters, Vickie Gillaspie and Marsha Morris; her brother, Allan Greenwood; and her cherished grandchildren, Nolan and Jase.
Wendy found joy in the simple beauties of life. She loved tending to her flower garden, quilting, and needlepointing. A devoted animal lover, she was rarely seen without the company of her loyal pups, Springer and Maggie, and her beloved cat, Poco.
A faithful parishioner of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Wendy served as a Eucharistic Minister and contributed to her congregation in numerous meaningful ways.
She treasured her travels with Bill, especially their trips abroad to Italy, Hawaii, and the Bahamas—experiences she held close to her heart.
Professionally, Wendy was an accomplished office manager at a used car dealership in Hendersonville, Tennessee, where her warmth and integrity earned her many lifelong friends.
Born in Tacoma, Washington, Wendy spent her childhood in Leavenworth, Kansas, before moving with her family to Nashville, where she built a beautiful life filled with love, service, and connection.
Her grace, generosity, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
The family will visit with friends at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 6 pm until 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 11 am with entombment at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery to follow.
Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216, 615-865-1101, https://www.springhillfh.com
