Mr. Wes Ellis' Obituary
Wesly Parker Ellis, “Wes,” was born November 3rd, 1988 and passed October 20th, 2020.
Wes was a funny, loving and caring person who genuinely wanted good for everyone and was always your biggest and most loyal cheerleader. He was a gentle giant, until he needed to be a warrior and protector for his friends or family. Wes was a voracious reader, with an appetite for knowledge. He collected facts, and loved history, keeping apprised of world events. Wes enjoyed and respected diverse cultures, and could converse with all types of people, earning the nickname “Mr. United Nations” while still in junior high. He was a trivia master who knew obscure facts and dates across wide ranging topics and enjoyed watching Jeopardy with his parents often. Family gatherings, whether at home, Jane and Ernie Shelby’s home, or in Albania with Seta’s family, were his happiest times. He loved Seta and encouraged her to follow her dreams and always found new projects for working on the house. Wes was a proud and doting father, knowing that Amelia was the most beautiful, amazing baby in the world.
A graduate of MTSU, Wes earned his Bachelor of Science in Geology. He worked in water treatment and the water distribution system for Madison Suburban Utility District as the GIS coordinator. He loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting, growing up duck hunting in Springville Bottoms with the Timber Masters.
He loved international travel, especially spearfishing with his brother in law Besi. He enjoyed weightlifting and Strongman Competitions, and brought rigor and drive to life, going “all in” for his passions.
Preceded in death by grandparents Ben and Martha Hawkins, and Harrell and Irene Ellis.
Survived by wife, Seta and daughter, Amelia Ellis; parents, Mike and Cindy Ellis; sister Leslie Ellis Shelby (brother in law, Lance; niece, Ellis and nephew, Hawkins); brother, Scott Ellis; and lifelong friend and buddy, Cody Lyng. Loving family of wife, Seta include in-laws, Adriatik and Zamira Lamallari; brother-in-law, Besford Lamallari; and sister-in-law, Klea Lamallari. Uncle Ben Hawkins and family of London, KY, including cousins, Kathina Hawkins Bell and Sara Hawkins Nidifer and families. David Ellis and Dianna Huff; aunts, Elizabeth Qualls and Jane Ray of Livingston; and a host of cousins in the Ellis, McRae, and Hawkins families.
